Think Tank: How to Combat the Amazon Effect

How Retailers Compete with AmazonWomen’s Wear Daily published a byline article written by HRC Retail Advisory CEO, Antony Karabus, on the importance for retailers to maintain and enhance their retail stores in the face of the continued intrusion by Amazon.com as it takes market share from traditional retailers. Among other recommendations, Karabus advises retailers to  “play their own game and not try and compete head-on against Amazon’s core strengths”.  Karabus believes that retailers have a huge inherent advantage over pure-play e-tailers as they can provide the physical experience to “ touch and feel the product and experience the brand.”
